The Croods to be April’s Autism Friendly Film

Animated prehistoric comedy adventure film The Croods will be April’s Autism Friendly Film, service provider Dimensions and cinema chains ODEON and Cineworld have announced.

In The Croods, the world’s first family embark have on a journey into a new world filled with fantastic creatures after their cave, which has always shielded them from danger, is destroyed. The adventure changes their outlook forever. The film has been given a U certificate. 

The 21 participating Cineworld cinemas will show The Croods on Sunday April 7 at 11am. More than 90 cinemas in the ODEON chain will show the film on Sunday April 21 at 11.30am.

Autism Friendly Screenings are mainstream films shown in a sensory friendly environment. Lights are on low, sound is turned down, trailers are omitted and people can bring their own food, make noise and move around the cinema as they feel comfortable.
