Choice Care Group to open new home for people with learning disabilities in Bournemouth

care choice 180A new, specialist residential home has been opened to provide 24-hour support for people with a learning disability, autism and complex needs in Bournemouth.

Choice Care Group has already begun building work on the property, called Winton Lodge. When completed, it will accommodate eight individuals; seven with their own en-suite rooms plus one person in a single self-contained annex.

The people who live there will have 24-hour support provided by trained and experienced staff as well as a dedicated activities organiser and in-house psychology. Each individual will have person-centred support and the on-site activities organiser will ensure that they have a programme of activities to support their on-going education and personal development.

Established in 1992, this will be Choice Care Group’s 53rd specialist residential home which, alongside their supported living services, enables people to choose a model of care and support that is right for them. Choice Care Group aims to provide a safe and homely environment where each individual is supported to progress in their personal development.
