Care UK acquires supported living service provider Living Ambitions

libby eastleyHealth and social care services provider Care UK has acquired Living Ambitions, which provides supported living services for adults with learning disabilities in Lancashire and Salford.

Care UK purchased Living Ambitions from Peter Watson for an undisclosed sum. Living Ambitions provides support services for more than 50 people living in about 25 different locations.

Bespoke service provider for northwest England
Living Ambitions was established in 1989 as part of the Watson Healthcare Group and developed into a bespoke service provider for individuals of all ages in local communities in the northwest of England.

Living Ambitions supports people with a range of complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions including Asperger’s syndrome, mental health conditions, sensory impairments and physical disabilities.

Established track record of supporting learning disabilities
Care UK has an established track record of supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions so the acquisition is a natural fit with its existing services.

Care UK spokesperson, Libby Eastley (above left), said: “We were particularly impressed by the strong emphasis that the Living Ambitions team places on personalised, compassionate care. It matches our dedication to designing community based care pathways that enable people to reach their full potential and to lead rewarding, fulfilled lives.

“We have been very impressed with the employees that we’ve met so far and I would like to welcome them into the Care UK family.”
