APPG calls for evidence to improve services for people with complex needs

The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Dual Diagnosis and Complex Needs is working with the Office for Civil Society to gather evidence in order to improve outcomes, prevent crisis and reduce stigma for people with complex needs.

The evidence will be presented at roundtable bringing together leaders from across the health and social care system.

Lord Victor Adebowale, co-chair of the APPG, said: “As the APPG has continually found, people with complex needs can remain at the sharp end of the inverse care law – requiring the most support, but receiving the least.

“We hope this call for evidence will bring to light ways in which social action, whether than be formal volunteering, peer support, mutual aid or cooperatively managed services can break down those barriers.’

The call for evidence runs until 20th May 2017 and is open to everyone. If you have personal experience of these issues or know of relevant examples you can submit your evidence to [email protected].
