Planes and Turbo to be October’s Autism Friendly Films

PlanesAnimated comedies Planes and Turbo have been announced as the Autism Friendly Films for October.

The films will be shown at participating ODEON, Vue and Cineworld cinemas across the country.

Cineworld cinemas will show Planes on Sunday, October 6 at 11am. Vue will also show the film on Sunday, October 27 at 10am.

Meanwhile, ODEON cinemas will show Turbo at 11.30am on Sunday, October 20 at 11.30am.

In Disney’s Planes, from the makers of Cars, Dusty Crophopper, a small crop-spraying aeroplane with a fear of heights dreams of being a racer and taking part in the Wings Across the World race. Can he live out his dream?

Meanwhile, Dreamworks’ Turbo tells the story of snail who, after a freak accident gives him super-speed, embarks on a journey to try and compete in the world’s fastest race, the Indianapolis 500.

Sensory friendly environment

Autism Friendly Screenings are mainstream films shown in a sensory friendly environment. Lights are on low, sound is turned down, trailers are omitted and people can bring their own food, make noise and move around the cinema as they feel comfortable.
