Upcoming Autism Friendly Film screenings announced

PlanesAnimated comedy films Planes and Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted will be the next Autism Friendly Films, service provider Dimensions has announced.

The films will be shown at participating ODEON, Vue and Cineworld cinemas across the country.

ODEON cinemas will show Planes at 11.30am on Sunday, September 15. Cineworld will also show the film on Sunday, October 6 at 11am.

Meanwhile Vue will show Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted on Sunday, September 29 at 10am.

In Disney’s Planes, from the makers of Cars, Dusty Crophopper, a small crop-spraying aeroplane with a fear of heights dreams of being a racer and taking part in the Wings Across the World race. Can he live out his dream?

Meanwhile, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted follows the continuing adventures of Mellman, Marty, Gloria and Alex as they still seek to get home to New York. This time they make it Europe where they join a traveling circus, which they quickly reinvent.

Sensory friendly environment

Autism Friendly Screenings are mainstream films shown in a sensory friendly environment. Lights are on low, sound is turned down, trailers are omitted and people can bring their own food, make noise and move around the cinema as they feel comfortable.
