Support provider Dimensions and cinema chain ODEON have announced that the next Autism Friendly Film screening will be of family film Puss in Boots.

Puss in Boots, a spin-off from the popular Shrek series of films, will be shown on Sunday, January 15 at 11.30am at nearly 90 cinemas across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Autism Friendly Screenings are mainstream films shown in a sensory friendly environment. Lights are on low, sound is turned down, trailers are omitted and people can bring their own food, make noise and move around the cinema as they feel comfortable.

This month, more cinemas have joined the initiative. They include cinemas in: Brighton, Canterbury, Chatham, Covent Garden, Crewe, Dunfermline, East Kilbride, Epsom, Exeter, Kensington, Les Valley, Liverpool, Printworks (Manchester), Port Solent (Portsmouth), Rochdale, Salisbury, Silverlinks (Wallsend), South Woodford, Stoke-on-Trent, Swadlincote, Swiss Cottage (Finchley), Warrington, Weston-Super-Mare and Wimbledon.
