Easy read support for living with terminal illness

Marie Curie have launched easy read support booklets for people with learning disabilities that are living with a terminal illness and carers.

Eight online booklets have been published on the charity’s website.

Easy read publications use simple words and pictures to aid understanding.

Five booklets aimed at individuals with learning disabilities cover:

  • Who can help?
  • Work, money and getting the best out of life
  • Talking to your family and friends about your illness
  • Coping with all the different feelings you may have and who can help you.
  • How to keep comfortable, healthy and happy

Three separate booklets aimed at carers focus on:

  • Who can help?
  • Looking after yourself
  • Money and work
