One month to get entries in to Down’s syndrome photography competition

Budding photographers with Down’s syndrome have less than a month to submit their entries into the My Perspective competition.

My Perspective is the only competition for photographers with Down’s syndrome. Entries can be of anything of interest in their life – such as a favourite place, best friend or pet. Up to three photographs can be entered. Entrants are also asked to write a little on what the photograph means to them. People can enter in three ways:

  • Completing the online entry form and uploading the pictures
  • Downloading the entry form and emailing it and the image(s) to[email protected]
  • Downloading the entry form and posting it, along with the images, to My Perspective, Down’s Syndrome Association, Langdon Down Centre, 2a Langdon Park, Teddington,TW11 9PS.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at a secret venue in London in June. Prizes will be awarded to the winner, 2 runners up and 10 highly commended entries. The overall winner will be asked to put together a photography project that will be included in the travelling Shifting Perspectives exhibition.

Closing date for entries is Friday, April 27 2012.
