Nominations are now open for the annual Learning Disability and Autism Leaders’ List

Dimensions, a not-for-profit provider of support for people with learning disabilities and autism, is looking for nominations for their annual Learning Disability and Autism Leaders’ List.

The List recognises the extraordinary achievements of people with learning disabilities and/or autism across a variety of categories, allowing people with disabilities to be their own spokespeople and advocates.

This year’s competition follows on from the success of the special Coronavirus Learning Disability and Autism Leaders’ List 2020.

A spokesperson from Dimensions said: “We want to make sure that in 2021, everyone has the opportunity to celebrate the amazing work they … have been doing over the last year.”

Everyone will receive a personalised certificate and social media graphic

The winners’ stories will be shared nationally, with last year’s winners featuring in The Guardian, The Jeremy Vine Show and Channel 5 News. However, Dimensions celebrates everyone’s achievements so everyone nominated will receive a certificate and a social media graphic to share.

Nominations for this year’s competition will close on 1st October at 10am and the winners will be selected by a panel of judges with lived experience, including those who won the competition last year.

The winners will then be announced at a virtual event in December, allowing all participants to celebrate each other’s achievements with loved ones and special guests.

Dimensions say they would like to give as many people as possible the chance to enter, nominate and celebrate the achievements of some incredible individuals.
