A new, specialist residential home has been opened to provide 24-hour support for people with a learning disability, autism and complex needs in Bournemouth.
Choice Care Group has already begun building work on the property, called Winton Lodge. When completed, it will accommodate eight individuals; seven with their own en-suite rooms plus one person in a single self-contained annex.
The people who live there will have 24-hour support provided by trained and experienced staff as well as a dedicated activities organiser and in-house psychology. Each individual will have person-centred support and the on-site activities organiser will ensure that they have a programme of activities to support their on-going education and personal development.
Established in 1992, this will be Choice Care Group’s 53rd specialist residential home which, alongside their supported living services, enables people to choose a model of care and support that is right for them. Choice Care Group aims to provide a safe and homely environment where each individual is supported to progress in their personal development.
Choice Care Group is currently taking referrals for the home, which is due to open in September 2015 subject to Care Quality Commission registration. For further information visit www.choicecaregroup.com.
