ECL’s team of Inclusive Employment Consultants work with individuals to develop their skills, confidence, and work experience in order for them to be able to realise their career ambitions.

All of the adults that we support through Inclusive Employment benefit from: bespoke career guidance and support including vocational profiling, vocational and accredited qualifications, work experience placements based on an individual’s interests.

So far, we have placed our candidates into horticultural, facilities management, care, retail and hospitality settings, ensuring they are equipped with the skills they need to begin their career.

For adults with learning disabilities and Autism with ambitions of gaining paid work, the Inclusive Employment programme will enhance the opportunities available to you; by identifying possible employers, developing CVs, arranging and mediating interviews, offering skills development, work experience and on-the-job coaching. On attaining employment, we provide support for both employees and employers for as long as required, to ensure a successful outcome for both parties.

Age – 18+

Eligibility – 18 year olds and above with a learning disability and/or autism, and are resident in Essex.

How to access – Self referral or professional referral (e.g. social worker, GP, community nurse, or mental health nurse)

Locations:

ECL support people who have been referred by their local authority, those in receipt of a direct payment, personal budget, personal health budget and those who are funding their care and support needs privately. Contact ECL to find out costs.
