The Outspoken Project offer opportunities for people with a learning disability and autistic people to be supported and social together through peer support activities. They aim to people’s confidence by helping them to strengthen their voices, leading to people getting better services for themselves. They provide free self-advocacy courses for LGBTQI+ people (who have a learning disability and/or are autistic) to learn more about their rights and to build up their self-confidence. They also provide a co-created peer support programme to increase connections and confidence amongst LGBTQI+ people who have a learning disability and/or autism.
