Raising children is never easy, and for those with learning difficulties things can be even harder, not because of intellectual impairments directly but due to a range of factors including poor housing, poverty, harassment, limited access to information, impoverished social networks and having to deal with complex and inflexible service systems. And yet, with the right support, people with learning difficulties can make excellent parents.
