Shaun the SheepChildren’s films Big Hero 6, Shaun the Sheep and The Penguins of Madagascar are among February’s Autism Films, service provider Dimensions has confirmed.

Cineworld cinemas will be showing Big Hero 6 on Sunday February 1. The following Sunday, at 10am, Showcase will be showing the same film.

Also on February 8, ODEON cinemas will be putting on Shaun the Sheep at 11.30am. The following day, 10 selected ODEON cinemas will screen a film for older viewers – Kingsman, The Secret Service at 6pm.

Finally, Vue cinemas will screen The Penguins of Madagascar on Sunday February 22 at 10am for just £1.75.

Disney’s Big Hero 6 is a comedy-adventure set in the future, based on a Marvel comic. It focuses on the bond between teen Hiro Hamada and his giant inflatable robot, Baymax. When a devastating event befalls the city of San Fransokyo and catapults Hiro into danger, he and Baymax, along with four friends – the ‘Big Hero 6’ of the film’s title – set out to solve the mystery.

Meanwhile Aardman Animation’s Shaun the Sheep – a big-screen version of the successful series on CBBC – sees the eponymous hero decide to take a day off. Following a mix-up with the farmer, a caravan and a steep hill, Shaun and his flock end up in the Big City and it is up to him to ensure everyone gets home safely.

The Penguins of Madagascar – a spin off from the Madagascar trilogy – sees the super spy team comprising Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private join forces with undercover organisation, The North Wind. Together, they must stop the villainous Dr Octavius Brine from destroying the world as we know it.

Finally, for older viewers there is live-action thriller Kingsman: The Secret Service. Another adaptation from a comic book, Kingsman… tells the story of a super-secret spy organisation that recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency's ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.
